Triakel Big Biz is a loud, fuzzy, heavy band that punishes ear drums and instruments as harshly any of its contemporaries. That its members covered a relatively obscure 80's synth ballad (recorded in its dreamy glory by post-punk pioneers Siouxie & The Banshees) instead of, say "Ace of Spades" is no accident, and hints at the nuance and complexity that lurks behind the band's ever-present bombast. Many bands are loud, but this "alternative" take is what differentiates Big Business from its peers. Favorite track: Into The Light (Sioux, Steven Severin, Budgie and John McGeoch).

Floor-to-ceiling Boris ragers! It’s like they looked back on songs like Statement and Woman On the Screen and said “let’s do a whole album like that!” Most of these tracks don’t even pass 3 minutes! Zerkalo holds up the middle with some anguished doom. In the end, *NO* is as strong and declarative as it’s title. Brian Parker
